Over 50% of Crohn’s Patients Claim To Have Had Surgery

Recently, CrohnsHelp.com surveyed their newsletter list of 1,000+ subscribers with general questions regarding the severity of their Crohn’s Disease. The results were interesting and some responses were quite shocking.

For example, it was found that over 50% of the respondents claimed to have had surgery as a direct result of Crohn’s Disease. Over 45% said to have been to the hospital more than 4 times because of Crohn’s Disease. Over 37% said that they have more than 4 flare-up attacks a year.

Question 6: have you ever had or have an iliostomy or colostomy bag?
